Our end of tenancy cleaning Checklist we use and follow for cleaning.

Our cleaning process is guided by a comprehensive checklist, applicable to all types of deep cleaning services, including our end of tenancy cleaning. This standardised checklist ensures consistent, high-quality results, whether we are serving direct customers, landlords, or letting agents. We provide detailed information on the services included, as well as those excluded, to establish clear expectations from the outset.

We take before and after photos.

A end of tenancy clean is a thorough cleaning process undertaken when a tenant vacates a property or before a new tenant moves in, ensuring it is left in the best possible condition for handing back the key or for the next occupant. Our clean goes beyond regular cleaning, covering every inch of the premises. Pre- and post-occupational cleans generally hold the same standard, aiming to prepare the property for new occupancy, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for incoming tenants. This meticulous approach helps to maintain property value and facilitates a smooth transition between tenants.

Kitchen Area

  • Wash and polish all work surfaces.

  • Clean and polish the interior and exterior of all kitchen cupboards and drawers.

  • Descale and polish the sink and taps, restoring shine.

  • Degrease and polish wall tiles.

  • Thoroughly clean and degrease the oven, both inside and out.

  • Remove grime from the extractor fan.

  • Clean the refrigerator, eliminating all grime, mildew, and food deposits.

  • Wash and clean the exterior of the washing machine, if accessible.

  • Clean the dishwasher, if accessible.

  • Wipe down the microwave, both inside and out.

  • Clean the exterior of all other appliances, such as kettles and toasters.

  • Clean bins both inside and out.

  • Clean the interior of windows and wipe down window sills/ledges.

  • Wipe down all woodwork, including doors, door frames, and skirting boards.

  • Clean radiators, if applicable and accessible.

  • Clean plugs and light switches.

  • Vacuum and mop all hard floors.

 

Bathroom / Ensuite Area

  • Bathroom door and fittings washed down with germicidal solution.

  • Bathroom woodwork washed down with germicidal solution.

  • Pipe work and radiator washed with germicidal solution.

  • Tiled areas degreased, cleaned, polished, and steam cleaned to remove deep-set dirt and grime, ensuring thorough sanitisation.

  • Bath area, including fittings and basin, cleaned, polished, descaled, and steam cleaned to eliminate bacteria and buildup.

  • Shower area, including cubicle fittings, cleaned, polished, descaled, and steam cleaned to remove soap scum and water stains.

  • Bidet, if applicable, descaled, cleaned, and polished.

  • Floor vacuumed, washed, and scrubbed with germicidal solution.

  • Toilet cleaned, descaled, and disinfected inside and out.

  • Mirrors cleaned to be free of smears.

  • Windows cleaned from the inside, window sills/ledges wiped down.

  • Ventilation/extractor unit covers cleaned where applicable.

 

Living / Dining Room Area

  • Vacuum all carpeted areas to eliminate dirt and dust.

  • Scrub and mop all hard floors, ensuring a thorough clean.

  • Dust and damp wipe skirting boards and radiators to maintain a neat appearance.

  • Vacuum upholstery, including under cushions, to ensure comprehensive cleanliness.

  • Clean and polish mirrors and pictures, ensuring they are streak-free.

  • Clean and polish the interior of windows, along with window sills and ledges.

  • Dust and damp wipe all doors, door jambs, fittings, and hinges.

  • Wipe clean all light and socket fittings to ensure they are dust-free.

  • Remove all cobwebs from ceilings and walls to enhance room hygiene and aesthetics.

 

Bedroom Areas

  • Vacuum all carpeted areas to remove dirt and dust.

  • Scrub and mop all hard floors to ensure cleanliness.

  • Dust and damp wipe skirting boards and radiators to eliminate dust.

  • Dust and damp wipe all doors, jambs, fittings, and hinges for a clean finish.

  • Clean and polish all furniture and surfaces for a pristine appearance.

  • Remove all cobwebs from ceilings and walls to maintain a tidy environment.

  • Clean and polish mirrors and pictures to enhance room brightness.

  • Clean plugs, sockets, light switches, lamp shades, and light fittings to remove dust and grime.

  • Wash windows internally, along with window sills and ledges, for clear views.

  • Clean inside, outside, and on top of cupboards and wardrobes for thorough tidiness.

  • Clean behind and under furniture (if the accommodation is furnished) to ensure no area is overlooked.

 

Hallways / Stairways / Communal & Passage Areas

  • Vacuum all carpeted areas thoroughly.

  • Scrub and mop all hard floors.

  • Dust and damp wipe all skirting boards and radiators.

  • Dust and damp wipe all window ledges.

  • Dust and damp wipe all doors, door jambs, fittings, and hinges.

  • Wipe clean all light and socket fittings.

  • Clean all staircase treads, balustrades, and handrails.

  • Remove all cobwebs from ceilings and walls.

  • Clean and polish mirrors and pictures.

 

Excluded from our cleaning

  • Secondary glazing, blinds, or window shutters deep cleaning

  • Basements and storage rooms

  • Conservatories and external summer houses/rooms

  • Standard cleaning for balconies includes only floor cleaning and mopping.

  • Cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils are not removed or washed

  • Range cooker cleaning (advance notification required for special quote)

  • Additional appliances (e.g., second oven/grill, fridge/freezer) incur extra charges

  • Small appliances like toasters, kettles, microwaves, coffee machines

  • Double bathroom setups (separate bath and shower or double sink) attract an additional fee

  • Painted walls and ceilings washing

  • Chandelier cleaning (only dusting included)

  • Curtain cleaning (only dusting for cobwebs)

  • External window and area cleaning

  • Patios and garages cleaning

  • Mould removal

  • Fitted appliances in kitchens and utility rooms are not moved

  • Fireplace cleaning (only mantlepiece and hearth front are wiped)

  • Linen washing, drying, and ironing

  • Cleaning above heating elements inside an oven

  • Permanent stains on hard surfaces like wood, stone, tiles, grouting, metal

  • Carpet Cleaning can be added on.
